On the 18th of October 2023, the African Tobacco Control Alliance (ATCA) launched the 2023 Africa Tobacco Industry Interference Index Report. With leadership from ATCA, the report was jointly produced with the Africa Centre for Tobacco Industry Monitoring and Policy Research (ATIM) and the Global Centre for Good Governance in Tobacco Control (GGTC).
The report highlights Nigeria as one of the countries in Africa experiencing delays in implementation of tobacco control laws.
